What is receiving inspection?

Receiving inspection is the check performed on raw materials, packaging and auxiliary materials as they arrive at the plant, verifying that they meet the specifications agreed with the supplier. It decides whether the batch is accepted, rejected or put on hold.

Filtering out non-conforming goods at intake prevents quality and safety problems throughout the rest of the process.
