Food safety
What is food safety?
Food safety is the set of practices and controls that ensure a food will not cause harm to the consumer when prepared and consumed as intended. It covers hygiene, the control of physical, chemical and biological hazards, traceability and regulatory compliance.
It is managed throughout the entire chain through systems such as HACCP and its prerequisites.
