Supplier claim

What is a supplier claim?

A supplier claim is the formal communication of non-compliance in raw materials, packaging or services received, whether due to quality, quantity, due dates or documentation. It documents the incident and requires a response or corrective action from the supplier.

Managing them in a traceable way protects margins and feeds an objective supplier evaluation.
