Food Safety

What is food safety?

Food safety is the set of practices and controls that ensure a food product will not cause harm to the consumer when prepared and consumed as intended. It covers hygiene, control of physical, chemical and biological hazards, traceability and regulatory compliance.

It's managed across the whole chain through systems such as HACCP and its prerequisite programs.
