What is a quality audit?

A quality audit is the systematic, independent evaluation that verifies whether processes, products and records comply with applicable standards, internal procedures and legal requirements. It can be internal, customer-led or a certification audit.

Its outcome identifies deviations and improvement opportunities before they turn into non-conformities or losses.
